At the Mālama Pono Garden of Kohala Elementary School, Nature is our teacher, and we are all humble students. Our 400 kindergarten through 5th grade gardeners help in every phase of growing food on our three acre farm, from planting and tending to harvesting and preparing food for market. Connecting youth to the land by growing and sharing organic food helps build health and resilience in our community, while contributing to a robust local food system. We are grateful for your support of transformative outdoor education for our local youth.
